Irish film festival in Lyon
On February 4, the Consulate General of Ireland in Lyon partnered with Ciné Zola (Villeurbanne) as part of the Ciné O'Clock festival, which gave Ireland top billing for an afternoon of film.
The show got off to a great start with the screening of My Sailor My Love, followed by refreshments outside. Lyon's Franco-Irish association then presented Saint Brigid's Day which was followed by Lisa Mulcahy's moody film, Lies we Tell. The evening ended in style with a screening of the evocative noire film, Barber. After the screening, the audience were able to discuss the film over a drink.
The evening was also an opportunity for moviegoers to discover the exhibition 'Blazing a Trail. Blazing a Trail: Lives and Legacies of Irish Diaspora Women'
