La nouvelle génération de chefs irlandais et français se réunit à Cork
Le forum annuel du réseau France-Irlande pour les arts culinaires, l'hôtellerie et le tourisme (FICAHT) s'est tenu cette année à l'Université technologique de Munster à Cork. Le réseau FICAHT comprend plus de 75 membres institutionnels issus de l'industrie et du monde universitaire en Irlande et en France. Le Forum FICAHT réunit les membres chaque année pour créer des liens et échanger sur les dernières tendances de l'industrie.
L'un des temps forts du Forum est le concours de cuisine pour étudiants, gracieusement sponsorisé par Tirlán. Ce concours permet à des étudiants talentueux d'écoles culinaires irlandaises et françaises de s'associer pour créer un menu combinant nos deux cultures culinaires. Des élèves du Lycée Christian Bourquin d'Argelès-sur-Mer, du Lycée Savary Ferry d'Arras et du Lycée professionnel Lautréamont de Tarbes se sont associés à des élèves de MTU Cork, Crumlin College, TETB Arthurstown, SETU Waterford pour présenter le meilleur de la cuisine irlandaise et française. Le chef Vincent de l'ambassade a eu l'honneur de faire partie du jury du concours de cette année.

The annual forum of the France-Ireland network for culinary arts, hospitality and tourism (FICAHT) took place in Munster Technological University in Cork this year. The FICAHT network comprises more than 75 institutional members from across industry and academia in Ireland and France. The FICAHT Forum brings members together every year to build connections and exchange on the latest industry trends.
One of the Forum’s yearly highlights is the student chef competition, kindly sponsored by Tirlán. The competition sees talented students from Irish and French culinary schools team up to create a menu combining our two culinary cultures. Students from Lycée Christian Bourquin in Argelès-sur-Mer, Lycée Savary Ferry in Arras and Lycée professionnel Lautréamont in Tarbes joined forces with students from MTU Cork, Crumlin College, TETB Arthurstown, SETU Waterford to showcase the very best of Irish and French cuisine. The Embassy’s chef Vincent had the honour of serving on the judging panel of this year’s competition.
