The Embassy's first six months of 2024
A brief re-cap of the initiatives and events the Embassy of Ireland in Berlin has been involved in so far this year
The first six months of 2024 were full of exciting events and valuable exchanges for the Embassy of Ireland in Berlin. January began with the launch of Zeitgeist Irland 24 during Tánaiste and Minister for Foreign Affairs Micheál Martin’s visit to Berlin and in June we published the third iteration of the Germany-Ireland Joint Plan of Action.
In the intervening period, nearly 100 Zeitgeist Irland 24 events took place around Germany, introducing audiences to a new generation of Irish artists and creatives. With a packed schedule remaining for the rest of the year, make sure to check out the Zeitgeist Irland 24 Website for information on upcoming events.
In addition, we were delighted to welcome the Taoiseach and Tánaiste for the Munich Security Conference, Minister of State Martin Heydon for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations around Germany, and Minister of State Pippa Hackett for BIOFACH Nuremberg, the world’s leading organic trade fair.
Take a look at the photos below for an insight into other projects the Embassy has been involved with this year so far.
