Riga Technical University and Technical University Dublin come together for a discussion on ethnics, technology and higher education
On 13 May, lecturers from Riga Technical University (RTU) and Technical University Dublin (TUD) came together for a morning panel discussion on ethics, technology and higher education at the RTU.
Moderator Elīna Lidere from Riga Tech Girls expertly led us through a very engaging conversation entitled “Ethical Technologies in Higher Education: Nurturing European Values in Research and Innovation”.
Lecturers Brenda Duggan and Dr. Connell Vaughan from TUD, and Elīna Gaile-Sarkane, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs from RTU, shared their experiences and challenges when dealing with data management; international collaboration between researchers and universities; and how to encourage students to consider the impact of technology for humans and for the planet.
Thank you to all who organised and participated in this very thought-provoking discussion!
