Julian Clare
Biography
Julian Clare was educated at University College Dublin (Philosophy and Economics) and joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1992. He served previously in Moscow, at Ireland’s Permanent Mission to the UN in New York, Bratislava, Ireland’s Permanent Representation to the EU in Brussels, and Tel Aviv, before being appointed Ireland’s Ambassador to Korea in 2017. His most recent HQ position was as Director of Global Ireland Unit. He is married to Siobhán Tracey and they have three children
