Passport application transit times
All passport applications received by the Embassy of Ireland in Riyadh are sent to the Passport Office via Diplomatic Bag. Diplomatic bags are usually sent in the last week of each month.
Passport applications may therefore be stored for up to four weeks in the Embassy before being dispatched. You should adjust your delivery timelines accordingly.
Please note you are not required to send your application via the Embassy. If you wish to privately courier* your passport application directly to the Passport Office please get in touch with the Embassy and we can advise you further on this process.
All new passports received by the Embassy of Ireland are sent via Diplomatic Bag. Diplomatic bags are dispatched twice a month from Dublin. In exceptional cases it may be possible to arrange private collection and courier* from Dublin. For further information please contact the Embassy.
For further information please contact us.
*In all cases, private courier is at the applicant’s expense. The Department of Foreign Affairs is not responsible for any loss or damage to documents through a private courier.
