Human rights
Ireland is committed to having human rights at the heart of both our national and foreign policy and to the principle that all human rights are universal, interdependent and indivisible. We promote human rights in our bilateral relations with other States and, with our partners in the European Union, continually monitor the human rights situation in many countries throughout the world. Our international development programme also has a strong focus on human rights and accountability in our partner countries.
