Ongoing Events
Through July 19: The New York Irish Center’s 12th Annual Summer celebration of youth is back with its 2024 Tír na nÓg Children's Festival, where children can explore their Irish roots, culture, heritage, and arts, through workshops in drama/short film, music, arts & crafts, & dance, all while exploring the oldest of Irish legends and folklore.
- Group 1: 5-8 yrs (14 places); Group 2: 9-12 yrs (14 places)
- The Grand Finale Showcase for family & friends will take place on Friday, July 19th at 2pm!
Through August 3: Celtic band Gaelic Storm will be on tour and performing at the following Irish festivals in Ohio:
- Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival from July 19-21
- Dayton Celtic Festival from July 26-28
- Dublin Irish Festival from August 2-3
Through August 4: Irish Repertory Theatre, in association with Octopus Theatricals, is delighted to present Bill Irwin’s award-winning ON BECKETT for a limited summer engagement. Conceived and Performed by Tony Award winning actor Bill Irwin, in this 90-minute performance, Irwin will explore a performer’s relationship with Samuel Beckett. Tickets are on sale now.
Through August 16: Born in Dublin, based in London and New York, Vivian Griffin will have a solo exhibition, titled The Song of Lies, at Bureau in New York City. Griffin makes sculptures, drawings and audio works in their antidisciplinary practice. Further information on the exhbition can be found here.
July Events
July 14 - 20: The 30th Annual Catskills Irish Arts Week is a craic-filled week devoted to traditional Irish music and dance in North America with over forty top-class teaching artists on staff. It will take place at the Michael J. Quill Irish Cultural and Sports Centre in East Durham, NY. Details on the week can be found here.
July 16: Singer-songwriter Róisín O will be performing at The Dead Rabbit from 7 pm. Headlining her own tours in Ireland, Germany, The US, and Australia, Róisín’s latest album ‘Courageous’ reached the No. 1 spot in the Independent album charts and No. 1 in the overall physical sales chart in its first week. July 19-21: The 39th Cleveland Irish Cultural Festival will take place at the Berea Fairgrounds in Middleburg Heights, OH, including a variety of entertainment and activities, including 7 stages, Irish plays, exhibits, and over 50 Irish vendors. July 26-28: The 2024 Buffalo Irish Festival will take place from Friday through Sunday July 26 - July 28th on the Buffalo Outer Harbor in New York. For more information and tickets, please go to their website here.
July 26-29: TRÚ, a critically-acclaimed trio from Northern Ireland with an eclectic approach to folk songs, will be on their US tour, performing at the Buffalo Irish Festival from July 26-29 and at The Dead Rabbit on July 29 in New York City*.
July 28: Celebrate Lughnasadh, a traditional Gaelic festival which signals the beginning of the harvest season, with a meal prepared by award winning Irish chef & TV host Mark Moriarty at The Dead Rabbit. Limited tickets available here.
August Events
August 2-4: The largest three-day Irish Festival worldwide, the Dublin Irish Festival in Dublin, Ohio will take place with almost 100,000 attendees. The festival boasts 7 stages, 60 acts, and a staggering lineup of more than 800 performers. For more information and tickets, go to the Dublin Irish Festival website.
