Announcement of the Appointment of Bernard Hensey as Honorary Consul in Seattle
The Consulate General of Ireland in San Francisco, whose consular region extends to Washington State, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Bernard Hensey as Ireland’s Honorary Consul in Seattle.
Hensey succeeds Honorary Consul John Keane who has retired after fourteen years in the role. We thank him for his many years of service to Ireland.
The appointment of Bernard Hensey as Honorary Consul reinforces Ireland’s commitment to the state, as well as the growing political, business, tourism and cultural links between Ireland and Washington State. Over 10% of Washington’s almost 8 million inhabitants claim Irish heritage.
Mr. Hensey currently is a senior advisor and board member to SkySelect.com, a leading AI Procurement Company and a senior advisor to aPriori,com the leading digital twin company in advanced manufacturing. He is also a consultant in the areas of change management and digital transformation. He has previously held several senior executive roles with Boeing, SR Technics and Aer Lingus.
The Honorary Consul in Seattle works with the Consulate General in San Francisco to support Irish citizens, growing our ties in the region and building Ireland’s profile as a place to visit, work, invest and study.
